Ovenjuice Berwajah Baru

Agak lama saya tidak mengemaskinikan blog ni, wahhh dari mana hendak saya mulakan, banyak perubahan minda dan ilmu dipelajari in between spaces...in shaa Allah saya akan cuba berkongsi tips tips atau maklumat yang diharapkan dapat memberi manfaat kepada semua...

Ovenjuice Bakery juga ada di FB page, salah satu yang saya nak share dari pengalaman sendiri ialah bab2 kek ni saya bermula dari zero, tetapi oleh kerana minat yang mendalam serta semangat keterujaan yang tinggi nak tengok hasil cake maka saya berada di tahap sekarang..tetapi saya masih belajar dan akan terus belajar..

Crack Under Pressure

Working under pressure is definitely a no-no when it comes to baking a cake. It shows on the cake guys! I was running around searching high and low for cream cheese but almost all shops that I went to were either closed or stock out. I managed somehow to find some stock but I had to bake twice as the first cake had some water penetrated into it. The second one was a success but lets just say I had a little time to let it cool before it was collected. I showed this pic to the customer because I felt sorry that it didnt turn out the way it should be.


Didnt want to disappoint the customer with poor presentation, I decided to frost the cheesecake with cheese frosting and walla...it looked a lot lot lot better than before..

I received a request to bake a choco mud cake for my staff's anniversary and I was determined to came up with a new design that could possibly impress her. The verdict: she was touched and satisfied. All I could say is thank you for letting me play a small part on your special day. May Allah bless you guys with happiness in this world and thereafter..Amin.

A Date to Remember

I've been longing for a good date cake to be eaten with custard and my search ends here...couple of years back I was fortunate to try similar cake from a restaurant next to Ascott, KLCC. Unfortunately I cant recall the name of the place but the taste remains fresh in my mind...having to emulate the taste almost precisely  makes me thrilled..afterall this recipe is my creation:)) so pleased it turned out well...yeay!

I am not a date person...but the taste of dates is well incorporated along with other ingredients and you'll end up finishing it bit by bit before you even know it. So...I dare you to give it a GO! Best to eat when it's still warm!!

Mar & April Born Cakes

I have been quiet lately am I...I am still around ..been baking quite a number of orders ..alhamdulillah. I have some interesting line up coming in the next couple of months, and quite excited about it, but I'll keep it to myself for now..just keep watching for the new post!

Meanwhile, these two were the request from my colleagues ...the best part was when they declined an invite for a Secret Recipe cake and said they wanted mine...awwwww so schweeettt...

I'm still working on my deco you guys...i used caramel sauce for deco and it went well with the cheese frosting!!
