Crack Under Pressure

Working under pressure is definitely a no-no when it comes to baking a cake. It shows on the cake guys! I was running around searching high and low for cream cheese but almost all shops that I went to were either closed or stock out. I managed somehow to find some stock but I had to bake twice as the first cake had some water penetrated into it. The second one was a success but lets just say I had a little time to let it cool before it was collected. I showed this pic to the customer because I felt sorry that it didnt turn out the way it should be.

Didnt want to disappoint the customer with poor presentation, I decided to frost the cheesecake with cheese frosting and walla...it looked a lot lot lot better than before..

I received a request to bake a choco mud cake for my staff's anniversary and I was determined to came up with a new design that could possibly impress her. The verdict: she was touched and satisfied. All I could say is thank you for letting me play a small part on your special day. May Allah bless you guys with happiness in this world and thereafter..Amin.

A Date to Remember

I've been longing for a good date cake to be eaten with custard and my search ends here...couple of years back I was fortunate to try similar cake from a restaurant next to Ascott, KLCC. Unfortunately I cant recall the name of the place but the taste remains fresh in my mind...having to emulate the taste almost precisely  makes me thrilled..afterall this recipe is my creation:)) so pleased it turned out well...yeay!

I am not a date person...but the taste of dates is well incorporated along with other ingredients and you'll end up finishing it bit by bit before you even know it. So...I dare you to give it a GO! Best to eat when it's still warm!!

Mar & April Born Cakes

I have been quiet lately am I...I am still around ..been baking quite a number of orders ..alhamdulillah. I have some interesting line up coming in the next couple of months, and quite excited about it, but I'll keep it to myself for now..just keep watching for the new post!

Meanwhile, these two were the request from my colleagues ...the best part was when they declined an invite for a Secret Recipe cake and said they wanted mine...awwwww so schweeettt...

I'm still working on my deco you guys...i used caramel sauce for deco and it went well with the cheese frosting!!

Hot Buns

This is up for grab..this is the latest on the menu, sausage rolls 12 pcs for RM30.00. Each piece weighs about 50gm..I'm using high protein flour to get the crusty top and chewy centre..it's definitely a big YES for the kids..

A Quick One

I am adding this oreo cheesecake to the menu soon, just waiting for feedbacks from someone who is familiar with what an oreo cheesecake should taste like....this is a really quick entry as I have to flex my muscle to bake 120 cuppies tonite...right now I am juggling mummy duites ..coping with kiddos and tomorrow I am off to Kl for a biz trip..whoaahhh!!

This is definitely a GO, the feedback that I have received was "SEDAP"..So..if you want to try this one out, the only thing that stands between you and this cheesecake is RM55:))

Skill to Pay the Bill?

My colleague has asked for RV to celebrate his uncle's 8th anniversary...I was quite excited for this project, we briefly discussed on the possible design ideas..and the cake turned out to be like this....


Yess..I wouldnt mind if you have suggestion on ideas but I have to warn you that I am still picking up my skill...skill to pay the bills?? hehe

Baking Order

I was baking these cuppies last week for my daughter's school, apparently the teachers in charge of PPDA (Pendidikan Pencegahan Dadah) would like to organise a charity drive to raise fund for PPDA purposes. Alhamdulillah the cuppies were well received by the pupil and I still owe another half of the order which I will do by end of this week :)))

RV to Celebrate Staff's Bday

What a way to celebrate a birthday..you can't go wrong with a RV cake. I have tried RV with colour frosting but the staff have demanded for a classic RV look...so here it is...

Pound Cake Anyone?

Made this yesterday..I just need to try this recipe...the verdict: I have to make adjustment to the recipe next time. The recipe worked but the almond extract was too strong for me and I would cut down the sugar a bit. I would think those would turn this cake better next time:) Looking sssscrumptious though:))

Choc Mud Cake for Dear Neighbour

My neighbour asked me to make this for her fam. What an honour.. I truly hope she will love the cake..Alhamdulillah, am truly grateful for the gift that Allah has granted upon me. I have never thought I could be one of those avid bakers..but armed with passion and will to succeed, Allah will not let you down..go chase your dream, I have got mine this time..in shaa Allah..I am still learning with the deco though :)))
